It
all started in the early 70’s when great pieces of Finnish
Design appeared one by one into our lives
and our homes.
Beautiful pieces of furniture by Alvar Aalto,
dinnerware
by Kaj Franck, textiles by Dora Jung and
few pieces of bowls and
vases by .. Wirkkala and .. Sarpaneva. It had nothing to
do with luxury, just good quality Finnish industrial
design
that felt right for our home.
Already in
the 80’s we felt we had such a knowledge of Finnish
Design that we could share it with other people. So vanhaa ja
kaunista was founded in 1986. Since then
we have been looking for quality
pieces and icons of Finnish Design to our customers
all over the world. vanhaa ja kaunista believes in
good quality, intuition and stability. The past and the future
can be combined…
